Perspective: Unlucky or Lucky?

In the backcountry Ozarks, where I come from, there are a lot of old stories about the years in the twentieth century when Ozark farmers still used horses or mules for transportation and power.

In these stories, often a city-slicker is driving through the country in a fast car while a local farmer is riding a horse or mule or walking.
